My grandmother, a special women


She was born in 1927, in Anllares de Sil a village in the north of Castilla y Leon, but nowadays she's 85 years old. When she was young, she lived with her parents and her two sisters. Her parents names were Paco and Soraya. Her dad died when she was 7 years in the Spanish Civil War and her mother died when she was 56 years for an heart attack. Her two sisters names are Petrita and Montse. One lives in Seville and other in Zaragoza, due to the distance that their relationship is scarce. They only meet in the holidays and Christmas. Her relationship with her parents was very friendly and good. When her father died, her mother was stay alone and sad.
Her biggest idol was Leon Jouhaux, Nobel Peace Prize in 1951 to fight for unions and workers, who had the privilege of knowing in a trip to Paris. She liked go to school, because in her times it was very important to study for work on anything. When she went in the school, her favourite subject was the biology, because she went to the laboratory and there, she do many experiments. When she was young, her dream was to be a biologist for do a lot of experiments in her laboratory and discover new species. But mainly, her biggest dream was to win a Nobel Prize. Her favourite film was Memories of Africa, she saw many films in her life, but she never seen a film better this. That film was directed with her favourite director, Sydney Pollack.
